lamborghini.comLamborghini was founded in 1963 by Ferruccio Lamborghini, a successful tractor manufacturer who, as the story goes, was unhappy with his Ferrari and decided he could build a better grand tourer himself. Whether or not every detail is true, the spirit of it, a rivalry born of stubborn pride, set the brand's tone from the start.
Lamborghini's identity crystallised with the Miura and then the Countach, wild, wedge-shaped supercars that prized drama above all. Where Ferrari leaned on racing heritage, Lamborghini chose pure theatre: outrageous styling, scissor doors, and enormous engines designed to shock. The cars are meant to stop traffic before they do anything else.
Now owned by the Volkswagen Group through Audi and based in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Lamborghini is more polished and usable than it once was, with the Huracan, the V12 flagships, and the Urus SUV that hugely expanded its sales. For buyers, a Lamborghini is the most extroverted choice in the supercar world, bought by people who want to be seen and heard, not to blend in.
