TERMS OF SERVICE

Last updated: 15 December 2025

OPENING STATEMENT: OUR COMMITMENT

At dribook we believe every car has a story, and that transparency is the key to recording that story honestly. We built this platform as a car logbook and lookup tool, where:

  1. The truth is respected: praise or criticism, every opinion is welcome so long as it rests on real experience and is offered constructively.
  2. Responsibility matters: every Car Logbook is a commitment by its owner to be truthful.
  3. Readers come first: we protect the interests of genuine users and we remove misleading or dishonest content without hesitation.

The Terms of Service below exist to protect those core values and to keep the playing field level for everyone.

Governing language: this English text is a translation provided for convenience. The Vietnamese version of these Terms is the authoritative one, and in the event of any discrepancy between the two, the Vietnamese version prevails.

1. Introduction and acceptance

Welcome to dribook.com (the "Service", "dribook", "we", "us" or "our"). dribook is established and operated as a site for car logbooks, articles and lookup tools, providing services including but not limited to: vehicle articles and reviews, storage space for vehicle logbooks, and tools to look up and compare vehicle specifications.

By accessing the site, registering an account, or using any feature of the Service, you (the "User") confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by everything set out in these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of the Terms, please stop accessing and using the Service immediately.

2. Definitions

  1. "Service": the dribook.com website, its mobile applications, its APIs, and related services.
  2. "Content": text, images, video, audio, data, code and other materials.
  3. "User Content": any Content a User uploads, submits or displays on the Service — articles, comments, car logbooks and so on.
  4. "Car Logbook": the feature that lets a user record a vehicle’s usage, servicing and repair history.

3. Accounts and security

  1. Registration: to use the full feature set — writing a Car Logbook, publishing articles, commenting — you need an account. You undertake to provide accurate, complete and current information. Creating a fraudulent account, or using another person’s information, is prohibited.
  2. Age: the Service is for users aged 13 and over.
  3. Security: you are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential. You agree to notify dribook immediately if you discover any unauthorised access. dribook is not liable for loss arising from your failure to keep your account secure.
  4. Identity: your username and avatar must not offend public decency, must not create confusion with dribook or another organisation, and must not infringe a protected trademark. We may reclaim or change an infringing username.

4. User rights and responsibilities

When using the Service you undertake NOT to:

  1. breach the law of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam or relevant international rules;
  2. upload Content that infringes the copyright, trademark, trade secrets or other intellectual property rights of another party;
  3. upload Content that is false, fraudulent, defamatory, slanderous, threatening, harassing, obscene, or that incites violence or racial, religious or gender discrimination;
  4. distribute viruses, malware or spyware, or mount network attacks (DDoS, hacking) against dribook’s systems;
  5. collect other users’ personal information without authorisation (data scraping);
  6. use the Service to send spam or unauthorised advertising, or to run unlawful multi-level marketing schemes.

5. User-Generated Content (UGC)

5.1. Ownership

You retain all intellectual property and other rights in the User Content you create and upload. dribook claims no ownership of your Content.

5.2. Licence to dribook

By uploading Content to the Service, you grant dribook a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sub-licensable licence to:

  1. use, reproduce, store, modify (reformat), distribute, publish and publicly display that Content on the Service and on dribook’s official channels, including the email newsletter;
  2. use the Content to develop, improve and promote the Service.

Note: this licence lets us keep Car Logbooks and published articles working even after you stop using the Service, so that the information stays intact for readers.

5.3. Responsibility

You are solely responsible, before the law and before third parties, for the Content you upload. dribook acts only as a passive platform for storing and transmitting information.

6. Intellectual property and copyright

  1. dribook’s property: the interface, logo, source code, design and editorially produced content (excluding User Content) are the exclusive property of dribook and are protected by intellectual property law.
  2. Reporting infringement (DMCA): if you believe Content on dribook infringes your copyright, please send a notice to [email protected] including:
  1. evidence of your ownership;
  2. the URL of the infringing content;
  3. your contact details.

dribook will review and act under a "Notice and Takedown" process.

7. Perspectives, reviews and comments

To keep dribook civil and useful:

  1. Subjectivity: reviews and comments on dribook are understood to be the subjective opinion and personal experience of their author. They do not represent dribook’s official position, except for pieces published by the editorial team.
  2. Disclosure: if you received anything of value (money, sample products) in exchange for writing a review, you must disclose that in the piece.
  3. Fair quotation: when referring to, analysing or rebutting information from other sources (press, foreign magazines), you must observe fair-use principles: quote only a part, add your own analysis or commentary, and always cite the source with a link.

8. dribook’s rights and responsibilities

  1. Moderation: we have the right, but not the obligation, to moderate, screen, refuse, move or delete any Content that breaches these Terms or harms readers, without prior notice.
  2. Service interruption: we may suspend or terminate the Service, in whole or in part, for maintenance, upgrades or reasons of force majeure, without compensation.
  3. Data: we commit to protecting Users’ personal data under the Privacy Policy, but are not liable for data exposed by network attacks beyond our reasonable control.

9. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

9.1. General disclaimer

Service provided "as is": the Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. dribook makes no warranty, express or implied, as to accuracy, reliability, uninterrupted availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

9.2. Safety and health disclaimer

  1. Information is for reference: all technical, servicing, modification and driving guidance on dribook is for reference only. Users must exercise their own judgement and take responsibility when applying it in practice.
  2. Vehicle condition: dribook does not inspect or certify the technical safety of any vehicle mentioned or discussed on the platform.
  3. Physical risk: to the maximum extent permitted by law, dribook disclaims all liability for any loss of or damage to health, body, life or property arising from:
  1. use, operation or repair of vehicles mentioned or discussed on dribook;
  2. applying technical or modification guidance shared by other users.

Limitation of financial liability: in all cases, dribook’s total liability (if any) will not exceed the amount you paid dribook to use the Service in the preceding 12 months (if any).

10. Dispute resolution

  1. Beta period: the User understands and agrees that dribook is in Beta. Any dispute will first be addressed by negotiation and direct conciliation between the User and the dribook team by email at [email protected].
  2. Governing law: these Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
  3. Jurisdiction: if negotiation fails, the dispute will be resolved by the competent court in the locality where the dribook team has its principal place of work at the time the dispute arises (or Ho Chi Minh City if no specific location can be established), unless the law mandates otherwise.

11. Changes to the Terms

dribook may amend or supplement these Terms at any time. Notice of a change will be published on the website or sent by email. Continuing to use the Service after the Terms are updated means you accept the change.

12. General

If any provision of this document is held invalid by a court, the remaining provisions stay in full force. dribook’s failure to enforce any right under these Terms is not a waiver of that right.
